Our Love Story

Our story began during the quiet days of the COVID lockdown when we met through a close friend. What started with online games, laughter, and endless conversations slowly blossomed into a beautiful friendship.

In October 2022, we finally met in person at the cricket club, and our connection grew even stronger. When Nelinha returned to Cape Town that December, we spent a wonderful month together before she had to head back to the UK. During that time, we realized our friendship was turning into something much more.

In May 2023, Nelinha surprised Jared with another trip to Cape Town. We spent our days exploring, laughing, and creating unforgettable memories. During that visit, Jared asked Nelinha to be his girlfriend, and our long-distance journey officially began.

Although the distance was not always easy, it taught us to treasure every visit, phone call, and shared moment. It made our love stronger and every reunion even more special.

Then came 22 April 2025, a day we will never forget. On the beach in Sea Point, with a beautiful sunset behind us, Jared proposed exactly the way Nelinha had always dreamed. It was simple, intimate, and absolutely perfect.

From a friendship born during lockdown to finding our forever, we are grateful for every chapter of our journey.
